    This poignant evening, marking the centenary of the outbreak of World War One, features the world premiere of A Foreign Field by Torsten Rasch, commissioned jointly by the Three Choirs festival and Chemnitz Opera. This performance is our choral memorial to the men who died on both sides and the communities affected by the war.

    A Foreign Field has been commissioned by public subscription for the Three Choirs Festival 2014 and Stadtische Theater Chemnitz, Erich-Schellorn-Stiftung as part of 14-18 NOW, WW1 Centenary Commissions, supported by the Naitonal Lottery through Arts Council England and the Heritage Lottery Fund.

    Beethoven Piano Society of Europe Regent Hall Summer Festival

    Han Seul Lee (piano) was born in South Korea in 1993. She began learning the piano at the age of four. At the age of eight, she started learning with Hae Jin La at the Seoul Arts Centre Music Academy, whilst studying in Korea, Han Seul had several successes in national music competitions. In 2003, Han Seul came to England and in 2004 she began lessons with Christopher Elton at the Royal Academy of Music.

    Han Seul was awarded a School Scholarship to study at The Purcell School of Music in September 2005. Han Seul performs regularly at concerts within the school and has also had performance opportunities as a soloist with external orchestras.

    Adelia has given solo performances in Queen Elizabeth Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Wigmore Hall and Fairfield Halls, and has toured Europe. She won 1st prize in London Solo Bach Competition, 1st String prize in TWIYCA, finalist prizes in Carl Flesch International, among others; and has won numerous awards including the Manoug Parikian Award at age fourteen, Philarmonia MMSF and Countess of Munster twice in 2011 and 2012. She has played concertos with orchestras across the UK, and has participated in masterclasses with Yehudi Menuhin and Ida Haendal. She graduated from the Royal College of Music studying with Itzhak Rashkovsky and Adrian Butterfield, and now regularly performs recitals with pianist Craig White and concertos under the Countess of Munster and Making Music schemes.

    Craig White gained his Bachelors in Music at St Catherine's College, Oxford where he held the Re´pe´titeur Scholarship, and Masters in Piano Accompaniment at the Royal Academy of Music studying with Michael Dussek and Diana Ketler. Craig White spent two years as a Junior Fellow in Piano Accompaniment at the RCM working with the Vocal and String Department. Craig won the accompanist prize at the Kathleen Ferrier Awards, held at the Wigmore Hall. Craig was musical director and conductor for London Youth Opera's production of The Magic Flute, and an accompanist on the Solti-te Kanawa Accademia in Italy and the Oxford Cello School. He was artist in residence at the Britten Days Festival in Koln. Craig performs with the violinist Adelia Myslov with the Countess of Munster Recital Scheme and is supported by the Musicians Benevolent Trust.

    Paul Chamberlain - Accordion Sensations

    Paul Chamberlain is performing as part of his summer tour launching his new album 'Accordion Sensations' - featuring the music of Weber, Scarlatti, Piazzolla and Zolotariev.

    Having studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and won the acclaimed Governors Recital Prize for Keyboard, classical accordionist Paul Chamberlain performs frequently throughout the UK and internationally, including in Russia, USA, Finland, Greece and Bahrain. He released his debut disc The Classical Accordion in 2011 to great critical acclaim and last year saw Paul’s debut at the Bridgewater Hall with a solo recital as part of the long-established Manchester Mid-Days concert series, as well as touring in California. Paul is passionate about expanding the reach of the classical accordion.
